Friday News for week of October 20-24

Happy Friday!

Thank you to all the parents who came out today for the Parent Teacher Conference! I enjoyed talking to all of you and I’m excited to help your child grow in the 2nd quarter and the rest of the year!

This Week:
Reading: Our strategy for the week was Problem and Solution. We read some more books and figured out what is the problem? and how did they fix the problem?

Writing: We started doing Procedural Writing. I started a “How to draw a snowman.” The students helped me and I think they are getting the idea on how to do procedural writing. This coming week they will start writing their own!

Math: This week we learned about patters on a number grid as well as how to count up and down on a number line.

Bible: We started the story of Moses. We are excited to see how God is going to use Moses in the upcoming stories. For now, you can enjoy this song that the students learned how to sing in Music class!

Next Week:
Spelling: end   hand   sent   went   fast   must   jump   lamp   they   one

Bible Memory: "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise." Psalm 100:1-4
Let's play a game called "How many 1st graders can you fit in the reading corner?"
