Friday News for the Week of March 27-31

Happy Friday!

Parents, can I just tell you that your students did AMAZING on the Terra Nova tests?!?! It was a lot of tests for 1st graders but they followed directions, had a great attitude, and did their best work. I know you are very proud of them too, just like I am!

We took tests such as Reading, Math, Math Computation, Vocabulary, Word Analysis, Bible, Social Studies, and Science. For most of the questions the students showed what they learned and knew, but there were a few questions about things they hadn’t learned about yet.

For each test we finished taking, we popped a balloon with a piece of paper inside. On the piece of was something FUN that we would do in the afternoon. And boy, did we have fun! We practiced for Kid City, had read-alouds, cleaned out our writing folder and HAD FUN!

Tobin's Grandparents came to read!

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, we did lots of practice things for Terra Nova. We took a practice test to get used to how the test works and reviewed some reading and math things.

Today there are so very important documents going home with your child such as the 3rd quarter report cards and the Spring Packets. Please make sure to look over them. If you have any questions, please ask me.

Starting on Saturday is SPRING BREAK until April 9th. If you are traveling or staying in Okinawa, please have a safe wonderful time with your family.
