We are using a new online reading program at OCSI this year. It is called Kids A-Z. We will be using it in class as part of the "Listen to Reading" component of Daily 5.
The students can and should do this at home too. They can read the stories, listen to the stories, take quizzes and gain points. Here is how they can do it:
Web search: Kids A-Z https://www.kidsa-z.com/main/Login
Search for the teacher: sturner18
Find the student's name
Find the password picture
This is the main screen
Click on Reading Assignment
Here are the Reading Assignments, you can read a story, listen to a story or take a quiz.
This is inside the Star Zone from the main page. Students can use their points to build a rocket or a robot.
Parents can log in a view results as well. I will be setting up all the parents so they can do this!
Parents can view what books they read, how much time it took - very interesting!
I will attach Kids A-Z at the top of my website for easy access!
Enjoy!
