Happy Friday! Wow that was a short week because of the typhoon!
Reading: We are doing an author study on Mo Willems! Mo Willems is a fantastic author and illustrator and writes some of the funniest books including:
We learned that Mo Willems writes stories for 2 reasons: To entertain the readers, and to encourage people to write their own stories. This week we read the Pigeon books, wrote our own Pigeon stories, learned how to draw the Pigeon, and we started acting out a movie called, “Don’t let the pigeon be the teacher.” So much fun!
Math: We started SUBTRACTION!!! I’m excited for the students to become subtraction masters!
Bible: We started learning about Isaac and Rebecca’s children: Jacob and Esau.
Spelling Words: cat man had has God hop not mom bed get let yes sun cut bug us did big him fix
