Friday News for the Week of January 4th and 5th

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas break!
Mine was wonderful and I got to spend a week with my parents and youngest
brother in Okinawa.

This week was short so we transitioned back into school-mode by practicing our daily routines
and reviewing. We also welcomed a new student! Welcome to our class Mikaiah!

This week we did many fun activities such as
  • New Year’s Graphing
  • Christmas Break Writing
  • Reading a book called “Snow Day!”
  • Reviewed Spelling Words
  • Reviewed the Bible stories up to Joshua
  • Math games in the computer lab
  • ...and we made a New Year’s Goal!

Next Week:
Spelling Words: ate  late   made   cake  came  name  rain  sail  day  may  out  more  (long vowels! eek!)
Bible Memory Verse: “Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

MONDAY - Jan 8.
Parent Observation Day 8:30-10:30

Flying Kites together - 8:50-9:20 - make sure to buy a kite this weekend! (If it rains, we will do an activity inside together)

Coffee Talk - 11:15-12:00
